The iPhone Experience

I have been using the iPhone since it's first appearance in 2007. It has been a remarkable journey since then, the changes which iPhone brought to the world of smartphone was very huge and it can not be compared with any other phone. iPhone was the first phone ever to bring such a sensitive touch for it's screen which didn't required pressing your thumb hard on the screen to perform some operations.

The Multi-touch on the iphone changed the definition of the touch, the Accelerometer and the gyro-meter made the gaming experience on a phone like never before.

The first iPhone keynote:

Then came the iPhone 3g and 3gs in 2008 and the year after that which revolutionized the internet browsing experience which became even more faster. The phone now has a better processor and better camera. The major change which came with the launch of these phones in the smartphone universe was the addition of the APP STORE which now hosts more than 700,000 apps. It is the largest collection of apps that any operating system has.

In 2010 we saw iPhone 4 which was the last iphone to be unveiled by Steve jobs. It consisted of the same screen size but what changes was the Retina Display which was considered to be the "best display ever made" as quoted by apple. The camera was revolutionized and we got a 5 mp camera and a front VGA camera too. The body was completely changed as compared to the previous models it was thinner and lighter.

Then came 2011 and iPhone 4s was launched just 1 day before Steve jobs passed away and the keynote was presented by Apple CEO, Tim Cook. we didn't saw any major changes in the body but we got the best camera ever made for a phone and the fastest processor. The major release with 4s was Siri the personal assistant which was compared to Jarvis(Iron man) there was nothing siri can't do she can make calls, send messages, set up reminders, search for you and what not.

3 days back on 12th Sept 2012 we saw the reveling of  iPhone 5 with which apple brought a 4inch screen which was the first change to the screen size. This is being  quoted as the the slimmest and the fastest smartphone. The camera was still of 8mp but the quality was enhanced to 28mp and the new panorama feature was also included and the front camera was upgraded to 5mp. The best thing was that apple didn't increased the price since 4s. iPhone 5 also brought Nano SIM with it which a normal sim can not be cut into, and here is a link from onlygizmos.com giving more details on the Nano SIM technology.

The people went crazy when the iPhone 5 pre order started at midnight of 14th September as the preoprder launch day stock was finished within 60 mins. of the start of pre order which took 22 hours for iPhone 4s and 20 hours for iPhone 4.Apple quoted "The biggest thing to happen to iPhone since iPhone".

With the arrival of iPhone 5 the war between apple and samsung has begun for the best smartphone and may the best smartphone win...

Samsung Galaxy SII paired with Apple's Magic Mouse

Samsung Countersues

Samsung has been getting hit pretty hard by Apple as of late; most recently through the delayed  launch of their Galaxy Tab 10.1 following an Apple Lawsuit. Samsung is keeping their head up though. Nearly a month later, Australian Federal Court Justice Annabelle Bennett declared, Unless Apple puts on evidence showing the impact in the U.S. or U.K., I can’t draw any positive assumptions.“ Quick on the heels of that remark, Samsung is now counter-suing Apple in Australia on grounds that the iPhone and iPad 2 violate Samsung patents. Samsung claims that both iPhone and iPad 2 “violate a number of wireless technology patents held by Samsung.” The suit is being filed ahead of the pending decision on whether or not to ban sales of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Australia. Samsung is also appealing the ruling in Germany.

Internal AT&T System Listing a White iPhone 4S?

AT&T's internal system is reportedly listing a white iPhone 4S, according to Engadget.

A helpful tipster sent us this tasty morsel, from AT&T's internal system, listing the "iPhone 4s White" beneath a handful of already familiar Apple handsets. Could it be? Is Cupertino actually planning on bringing a white version of its next iPhone out at launch?

Have a look at the screenshot below...

Apple Announces iCloud Backup Reset on September 22nd

Apple has announced to developers that it will perform an iCloud Backup data reset on September 22nd.

iCloud Backup Reset
On Thursday, September 22, the iCloud Backup data will be reset. Backing up to iCloud or restoring from an iCloud backup will be unavailable from 9 AM PDT - 5 PM PDT. If you attempt a backup or restore during this time, you will receive an alert that the backup or restore was not successful. After this reset, you will be unable to restore from any backup created prior to September 22. A full backup will happen automatically the next time your device backs up to iCloud.

It's thought that this backup reset may be followed by iOS 5 GM seed.
